Clonakenny are into the mid- Tipp final. We are playing Kickhams. This match is a replay as when we played them in Templetuohy we drew. That match went ahead last Monday the 2nd of June and the final score was 3.4 Clonakenny to 2.7 Kichams. We are looking forward to meeting our rivals again tomorrow in Clonmore at 7pm. Hopefully luck will fall on our side and we will come out as u 14 mid champions.

Lismackin Celebrate Third Green Flag
A special ceremony to celebrate Lismackin National School receiving their third green flag was held on Tuesday, 27th. May 2008.
The flag was raised by local councillor and past pupil of the school, Michael Smith, assisted by the two youngest pupils of the school. Fr. Noel Kennedy PP, Noel Coonan T.D and Mrs Nancy Lynch, retired teacher, were among the guests on the day.
The school choir, conducted by our principal, Mrs Ryan and accompanied by our music teacher, Mr. Joe O'Brien, entertained the school community with a beautiful rendition of Speed your Journey, Ring of Fire, and Any Dream will Do.
Ms Emma Boland co-ordinator of the Green Schools and her enthusiastic Green Schools committee explained to the gathering how the school had achieved their third green flag award. Representatives from classes- infants to sixth, elaborated on the various projects carried out to highlight awareness of our need to conserve water usage and quality. A demonstration by 5th. and 6th. class showed vividly how thoughtless actions pollute our rivers. These projects can be viewed on the school web site http://lismackin.ie
A cheque was presented to the school by representatives from the Parents Council who had raised €1500 through the production of a very popular school calendar earlier in the year. This will be put towards the installation of an IWB i Seomra Rang a haon agus a dó. The Chairperson acknowledged the support of the parents council
Parents, children and guests enjoyed refreshments afterwards, and then children took part in school sports activities and played on the bouncing castles provided for the day.
A Great Day was had by all !

The County Semi-Final Match
Following up from the previous post we only drew our match against Rahealty-Kickham so we had to replay it . We won the replay by 2.5 to 8 points. we were now in the Tipp County semi-final against Portroe. Unfortunately we lost by a point even though we scored a goal in the last few minutes of the match. Well done to Portroe who went on to win the County Final.

Match Result
I was in goal today.We were playing a side called Leugh.We had a very sporting game even though the score favoured us at 5 goals and 7 points to no score . Our backs were superb .We tookevery chance we got. We are playing Mount Bruis next Friday in the County Quater final.The team is looking forward to the game. We hope to be victorious as we take one more step towards the final. On with the practice lads.

This Wednesday we were told that the NCTE wanted to highlight our school blog on their website. It was about cyberbulling and internet safety. We were surprised and very happy.
Match Day
The match is on today. We are playing Leugh at 11.30 . It is a decisive match. We have the home advantage . The team is real nervous. We are hoping to live up to the standard we set in the last game .
